Vintage 1960s Nova-Tech Pilot II Aircraft / Marine Radio Direction Finder

$70.00

A fantastic Nova-Tech Pilot II portable multi-band radio direction finder, dating to the 1960s and designed for use in aircraft and marine settings.

Unlike a standard portable radio, the Pilot II was built to receive multiple navigation and communication bands and could be used with its antenna system for radio direction finding. This example still has the original rear mounting bracket, allowing the unit to be secured in place rather than simply used as a tabletop radio.

The front dial includes Broadcast, Beacon, Marine and VHF bands, along with tuning, squelch and level controls, a signal meter and headphone jack. The black textured case, silver hardware, telescoping antenna and heavily worn carrying strap give it an especially strong period look.

A very good piece for a vintage aviation or marine collection, and an excellent film, television, photography or set-design prop where authentic 1960s technical equipment is needed.
