A beautifully moody piece of 1970s Ontario studio pottery, handmade in Orangeville with a deep espresso glaze and textured cream detailing around the rim.
Rounded, low-slung form with subtle side handles and a really rich glossy finish that catches light beautifully. Feels very earthy modernist — somewhere between studio pottery, brutalist decor, and late-70s Canadian craft movement.
Small enough to style almost anywhere, but visually strong enough to anchor a shelf or cabinet vignette.
Would work beautifully as:
— a planter
— catchall
— incense vessel
— sculptural shelf object
— coffee table styling piece
The dark glaze against warm teak or walnut looks especially good.
Dimensions:
7”W x 4”H
Condition:
Good vintage condition.
( elongated pottery also for sale in the SHOP )
Pickup at Adelaide & Sherbourne, downtown Toronto. Delivery available throughout the GTA & beyond. Email sabrina@sunday-creative.com for rates. Alternately, you are welcome to send an Uber Courier.
