The Avro Arrow was one of Canada’s most ambitious engineering projects: a supersonic jet interceptor developed in the 1950s by Avro Canada for the Royal Canadian Air Force. The program became a major symbol of Canadian aerospace innovation, and its sudden cancellation in 1959 remains one of the most famous and debated moments in Canadian industrial history.
