A beautifully moody little piece of 1970s Ontario studio pottery, handmade in Orangeville with a rich oxblood drip glaze over a creamy white ceramic base.
The shape is simple but sculptural — squared with softly flared edges and a very tactile handmade feel throughout. Small enough to style almost anywhere, but visually strong enough to hold its own on a shelf, coffee table, bedside, or desk.
Would work beautifully as:
— a tiny planter
— incense holder
— catchall
— salt cellar
— match holder
— sculptural shelf object
The glaze is especially good in person — deep rust, brown, and cream tones with lots of variation and movement.
Dimensions:
4.5”W x 4.5”D x 3”H
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout consistent with age and use.
Pickup at Adelaide & Sherbourne, downtown Toronto. Delivery available throughout the GTA & beyond. Email sabrina@sunday-creative.com for rates. Alternately, you are welcome to send an Uber Courier.
