Hand-hooked by the original owner's family, this one-of-a-kind rug features an abstract floral design rendered in saturated reds, hot pinks, burgundy, blush, peach, and bright yellow. The composition feels somewhere between folk art textile, psychedelic garden, and oversized modernist tapestry.
Unlike machine-made rugs from the era, the hand-hooked construction gives the surface a wonderful sculptural quality. The individual loops catch light differently across the pattern, creating depth, movement, and texture throughout.
At 50" x 70", it works beautifully beside a bed, in a reading corner, nursery, dressing room, creative studio, or anywhere that could benefit from a serious dose of colour. It would also make an exceptional wall hanging.

Excellent vintage condition. Clean and vibrant with beautifully preserved colour and pile. As expected with a handmade textile, the rug is not perfectly square and shows slight variations in shape, a characteristic of its hand-crafted construction rather than a defect.
