A fantastic signed and numbered 1969 bird print with layered abstract bird forms in deep blue, teal, black, and soft yellow.
The overlapping transparent silhouettes give it a strong colour-overlay / hard-edge modernist feel that was especially popular in late-60s Scandinavian and European graphic design. Depending on where you stand, the birds almost dissolve into pure geometric form, which gives the piece a really dynamic sense of movement.
It has that distinctly late-modernist balance of playfulness and restraint — graphic enough to stand out in a room, but still calm and architectural in palette and composition.
Pencil signed and numbered (4/8) by the artist along the lower edge, adding to its collectability and one-of-a-kind feel.
