A beautifully designed vintage nightstand by American of Martinsville, with a warm walnut finish, clean architectural lines and distinctive geometric metal pulls.
Each nightstand features two generous drawers with dovetail joinery, set on tapered legs with a horizontal stretcher detail below. Small inlaid “X” motifs at the corners of the top add a particularly charming decorative detail and tie these pieces to the rest of the suite.
Compact but substantial, they work beautifully as bedside tables or as small side tables beside a sofa or lounge chair.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. There are some marks, scratches and finish wear to the tops and exterior, as photographed. Structurally solid, with drawers functioning well.
