A substantial vintage credenza by American of Martinsville, with a warm walnut finish, woven cane-front cabinetry and distinctive geometric metal pulls.
At 84" long, this is a true statement piece with an incredible amount of storage. The centre section features four cane-panel doors concealing three generous interior drawers, while each side is fitted with three wide drawers. The elevated base and long, low profile keep the piece feeling refined despite its scale.
The mix of walnut, cane and architectural metal hardware gives it a distinctly 1960s mid-century modern feel. A particularly charming detail is the pair of small inlaid “X” motifs at the corners of the top, an understated decorative flourish that gives the piece a little extra personality.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. There are some marks, scratches and areas of finish wear to the top and exterior, including a few more noticeable marks as photographed. Structurally solid, with drawers and cabinetry functioning well.
