A compact little 1960s piece with great lines and a surprisingly versatile footprint. Originally part of an Ampex reel-to-reel setup, this works beautifully now as a small bar cabinet, entry piece, record accessory cabinet, or tucked beside a lounge chair.
Ampex was one of the most influential American audio companies of the midcentury era, best known for its high-end reel-to-reel tape machines and recording equipment used in studios, radio, and home hi-fi systems throughout the 1950s and 60s.
Features rich walnut-toned wood, sculptural tapered legs with brass caps, and sliding tambour doors that give it that unmistakable midcentury studio look. The interior is open and functional, ideal for bottles, glassware, books, or small media storage.
Please note: the original reel-to-reel components were removed at some point, so the interior base shows some rough grooves and signs of its previous configuration. Once styled or filled, it largely disappears visually, but worth noting for transparency.
